Materials
- Hook — Hanak H400 BL or equivalent jig hook size 12-18
- Bead — Tungsten slotted 2.8mm (sizes 16-18) or 3.2mm (sizes 12-14) gold
- Lead wire — .010" — 5-6 wraps under the bead
- Thread — UTC 70 denier red
- Tail — Coq de Leon (CDL) feather fibers natural pardo
- Rib — Small copper wire (UTC Brassie)
- Body — Muskrat-gray pheasant tail fibers
- Hot spot — UV shrimp pink Ice Dub
Tying steps

Slot the tungsten bead with slot facing down then take 5-6 wraps of lead wire and seat against bead

Start red thread behind lead and tie in 4-5 CDL fibers as tail

Position copper wire tip in bead slot and wrap thread back to tail tie-in to secure

Tie in 6-8 muskrat-gray pheasant tail fibers at tail tie-in point

Wrap pheasant tail forward to bead then counter-wrap copper rib in 4-5 evenly spaced turns

Apply small amount of UV shrimp pink Ice Dub and wrap two tight turns as hot spot collar then whip finish
