Squirmy Wormy

Materials

Tying steps

  1. Slot bead onto hook and start UTC 140 thread immediately behind bead
  2. Cut single strand of squirmy material 2-2.5 inches long without pre-stretching
  3. Lay strand midpoint under bead and use loose loop wraps - two soft turns then one slightly tighter to lock
  4. Adjust strand so equal lengths extend forward of eye and back past bend
  5. Optional - dub UV Ice Dub collar in single tight wrap at tie-in
  6. Whip finish three turns at bead and apply tiny dot of UV resin or head cement

Notes

Controversial pattern — banned in Yellowstone NP and some TU chapter waters. Heavy-thread tie-in is non-obvious; loose wraps prevent silicone severing.
